Welcome to Little Brooklyn. A brand new ball game..

Little Brooklyn - A Brand New Ball Game in Downtown Dartmouth.

Little Brooklyn is where past and future meet—a bold new residential and commercial development in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth. Just minutes from Halifax via the Macdonald Bridge or ferry, it’s a connected, walkable community surrounded by local cafés, shops, parks, and everything you love about downtown living.

The name comes with a story. Once home to Little Brooklyn Field, this was where the Dartmouth Arrows played in the Halifax District Baseball League. That local spirit—energetic, community-driven, full of possibility—is woven into everything we’re building here.

Now, we’re stepping up to the plate with something new. Whether you’re putting down roots or launching something fresh, Little Brooklyn is more than a place to live—it’s a whole new way to play.

The Development Team

“We are very excited about this project as we feel its going to be transformational for our City.

Along with this transformation we needed a ‘story’.”

Long before the skyline rose, Little Brooklyn was just a diamond in the grass—a ball field with a name that lived quietly in local hearts. The story was almost lost to time.

Thanks to CTV Atlantic’s Paul Hollingsworth, the story lives on—captured in this 2019 feature.

The Site Plan

Site Plan Overview

Positioned at the gateway to Downtown Halifax, just across the Macdonald Bridge in Dartmouth, Little Brooklyn is a bold new mixed-use development that reimagines one of the city’s most visible and well-connected sites. Delivered in carefully planned phases, the project will bring together striking residential towers, essential commercial uses, and welcoming public spaces that invite community and connection.

Phase 1: The Arrows

Anchoring the development along Wyse Road, The Arrows is the first building to rise. Located beside the existing Esso gas station, this signature 40-storey tower sets the architectural tone for the entire site. As one of the tallest residential buildings east of Montreal, The Arrows offers sweeping views of the harbour, Downtown Halifax, and the urban landscape. It will also house a mix of retail and service tenants, including the relocated Shoppers Drug Mart, making it a vibrant and active ground-level destination.

Phase 2: Shoppers Site Redevelopment

Following the relocation of Shoppers into The Arrows, the current Shoppers site near Nantucket Avenue will be redeveloped into a 36-storey second mixed-use building. This phase continues the integration of residential and commercial uses, enhancing the street frontage and strengthening the pedestrian connection through the site.

Phase 3: Tower 3

Located along Nantucket Avenue, adjacent to McDonald’s, Tower 3 is envisioned as a striking 40-storey residential tower that will become a defining element of the skyline. Sited mid-block along the avenue, the building’s height and design will offer panoramic views and a commanding presence—establishing a bold architectural landmark within the development and beyond.

Phase 4: Green Road Mid-Rise

Tucked into the northeast section of the site, backing onto Green Road, this 10-storey mid-rise will offer a more modest residential scale while maintaining the high design standards of the development. It will help transition the site into the surrounding neighbourhood and add housing diversity to the community.

Phase 5: Wyse Road North Tower

The final 36-storey tower will complete the Wyse Road frontage, rising just north of The Arrows. It will further contribute to the site’s strong urban edge and skyline presence, rounding out the development’s bold architectural identity.

A Focus on People and Place

At the heart of Little Brooklyn is a focus on people and place. The buildings are oriented around a central network of public spaces—plazas, pathways, and gathering areas—designed to foster connection, encourage walkability, and create a true sense of community.

Rooted in the legacy of the Dartmouth Arrows and the former Little Brooklyn Field, this development is more than just a nod to history—it’s a new ball game altogether. With each phase, Little Brooklyn steps up to the plate with purpose, aiming to deliver thoughtful design, vibrant streetscapes, and lasting community value. When all five phases are complete, this landmark site will have earned its place in the city’s next great inning.
